Radio Frequency AwarenessCourse Introduction A half day non practical classroom based course aimed at introducing the worker to the risks of working around telecoms and broadcasting  RF equipment.

Course approval This course is Arqiva approved and is a perquisite for working on any Arqiva site

Certificate Validation The course is valid for 3 years.

Prerequisites Minimum age 18 and a good understanding of English is desirable

Course content The effects of RF exposure through Ionising and Non Ionising radiation – Identification of Antennas -Signs and symptoms of RF exposure – Exposure standards – Personal protection precautions -Personal monitors

Assessment procedure There will be a questions and answers paper on completion of the course to gauge your understanding of the course content. Assistance will be given for those who may need it.
